Refrigeration and A/C Certification

This course is designed for technicians interested in sharpening their skills in refrigeration and air-conditioning. The class is held Monday-Friday with the ABYC certification test Friday afternoon. At the time of registration, each student is sent a course study guide which should be reviewed and studied extensively in conjunction with the ABYC standards. The course will cover the following:
  • Basic electrical review
  • Laws and terminology of air-conditioning and refrigeration
  • The Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990
  • Installation and troubleshooting
  • Service procedures that are in accordance with both EPA regulations and ABYC standards.

The fee for this course is $735 for ABYC members; $900 for non-members. Please see the calendar for course dates and locations.
