Ken Cook Co. Significantly Increases Support of ABYC
April 6, 2005, Edgewater, MD: The American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) today announced that Ken Cook Co., a provider of original marine product literature supporting power manufacturers and boat builders for over 60 years, recently increased its annual membership support of the standards setting organization from a Sustaining Member ($250) to a Silver Plus Member ($1500). Ken Cook Co. has been an ABYC member since 1990.
Ken Cook, President, said, "We wanted to upgrade our membership contribution because of the important work ABYC is doing in the boating community. John Jost, our Director of Software Solutions, participates on the ABYC Project Technical Committee (PTC) that develops T- 24, boat Owner/Operator Manuals and also assists the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) with manuals standards for the EU. We believe the work of ABYC and its PTC's are an integral part of global boating safety and that is why we contribute through financial means and active participation."
Sharon Busker, ABYC's Membership Director said, "On behalf of ABYC, we would like to thank Ken Cook Co. for upgrading to Silver Plus. Ken Cook Co. is an example of the variety of members we have, and such an upgrade is a way of recognizing the important work that ABYC does and how we impact a wide range of companies, organizations and individuals alike. It is greatly appreciated!"
"Ken Cook Co. is an active ABYC participant, and I am truly impressed with the support, dedication and commitment to ABYC and boating safety demonstrated by them," said Skip Burdon, ABYC President.
